Further to our letter dated August 2005, we are
pleased to advise that terms have been agreed with new Insurers.
A summary of the changes under Travel Plus Combined (TPC) is set out below.
|
Insurers – Assistance - Claims
The scheme is transferring to ELVIA Travel Insurance International N.V.
(Netherlands) which is administered in the United Kingdom by Mondial Assistance
(UK) Limited. Emergency Assistance and Legal Help Lines will also be provided
by Mondial Assistance (UK) Limited, with P J Hayman & Company Limited
now handling all claims.
|
Policy Cover
This will remain fundamentally unchanged, although inevitably there will
be some parts of the wording that will differ.
|
Medical Warranty and Free Spirit
The current principle of referring to Free Spirit those cases which fall
outside the Medical Warranty is being maintained. However, the list of
single conditions acceptable on TPC is being expanded and will now include
diabetes (where controlled and no complications).
|
Premiums
- It has been necessary to change the ‘55-69’ age
band to ‘55-64’, with the ‘65-69’ now
forming part of the upper age band, which now reads ’65-74’.
This change brings our age banding in line with the
rest of the market.
- Single-trip premiums remain unchanged.
- Annual Multi-trip rates for the 18-54 age band have
reduced slightly. Click here for
new premiums.
- Renewals from the 1st October onwards have been
dispatched and reflect these changes.
|
USPs
- One-way trips (25% premium loading)
- UK Nationals who have already left the UK i.e. forgot
to take out cover – now available under the new
TPC at a flat additional premium, regardless of duration/destination,
of £34.50.
|
New Literature
All of the existing documentation will need to be replaced and we will
distribute these as quickly as possible. Please return all unused schedules
at the start of October.
|
