We recently welcomed Michelle to our team as our new Product Manager. Michelle brings a wealth of expertise to our friendly team of expert advisors. She’ll be reviewing our range of products, while managing and onboarding new ones.
The role of a Product Manager is varied. It covers a range of elements, from crafting the product vision and strategy to managing product launches and tracking a product’s performance.
So, when reflecting upon her first month at P J Hayman, we wanted to ask Michelle what her first insights of P J Hayman were and what her plans will be to help P J Hayman evolve further as a specialist broker.
What are your first impressions of P J Hayman?
‘I’d use several adjectives to describe P J Hayman:
- Motivated
- Empathetic

- Knowledgeable
- Supportive
These are the values that emanate here. The team is knowledgeable, caring, and above all else, a great support for customers and brokers with our products.
I love hearing the positive feedback from our customers and brokers alike about how approachable and knowledgeable the team is.’
What differentiates PJH from competitors?
‘Quite simply, our passion is to provide options for travellers so that they have the confidence to travel without worry. This is our core mission and providing diverse products is a key part of this.
Our team is here to support you by finding the right products for your clients. With a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, we aim to provide an honest, empathetic, and transparent service.’
What have been your top three highlights at P J Hayman?
‘What a warm welcome I’ve had from the team!
1: I’ve discovered there’s a shared love of cheese (and food in general) and I’m looking forward to the next cheese and biscuits day. Possibly a bake-off or two in the future too!
2: Stansted House is a fantastic location for a lunchtime walk. We’ve finally had sight of spring, so I’ve been enjoying the beautiful grounds. The tearooms are lovely too.
3: There are many exciting plans here at P J Hayman HQ and I’m looking forward to supporting the team with this over the coming months…’
What will you be focussing on over the next six months?
‘A key focus is advocating for customer needs through analysis of customer feedback, insights and adjusting the products according to this analysis.
Over the next six months, I’ll be looking at the current product range and how we can innovate to continue to support our product partners, brokers and customers.’
