Eligibility: Adventures is available to people aged up to 69 years who are registered with a medical practitioner and permanently resident in the United Kingdom including Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Key Features:- Tailor made cover
Adventures is available in three parts:-Part A: includes essential cover for medical and emergency expenses, specialist activity equipment and up to £50,000 search & rescue costs following an accident, as well as personal accident, personal liability and legal expenses.Part B: provides additional cover to bring the policy into line with a ‘standard’ travel policy and includes:- cancellation, curtailment, personal possessions, personal money, travel delay and financial failure cover.Part C: Independent Traveller provides extended cover for cancellation, curtailment, delay departure and travel disruption with the addition of accommodation expenses if your trip is disrupted by an event such as a natural disaster e.g. volcanic eruption or if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises against travel.Part A may be taken in isolation. Part B can only be taken with Part A.Part C can only be taken with Part A and Part B.
- Financial failure
If you select Part B you will be covered up to £2,500 per person should your trip have to be cancelled due to the financial failure of your travel/accommodation provider. This includes up to £1,500 per person for unforeseen additional losses such as unused hotel costs.
- 24-hour medical emergency assistance
Experienced multi-lingual co-ordinators and medical specialists are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to resolve medical problems. They will guarantee medical costs, liaise with the treating doctor and arrange repatriation if medically necessary.
- Top-up cover for activity equipment under Part A
A top-up facility (up to a maximum of £10,000 per person - including a single items, pair or set limit of £1,500) is available for Single Trip cover on payment of an additional premium.
- Top-up cancellation cover under Part B
You can increase your cover (including the limit for pre-paid activity course fees) up to an overall maximum of £10,000 per person for an additional premium. This option is available on Single Trip cover only.
- Pre-existing Medical Conditions
For travellers with an existing medical condition, a medical screening service is available to confirm acceptability of cover - see the Insurance Policy for further details.
- Group discounts of up to 20%
For larger parties travelling together and insured under the same policy, attractive discounts are available:- - 21-50 persons = 10% discount - 51-100 persons = 15% discount - 101 or more = 20% discount
- Single Trip (maximum duration)
Cover is available for individual trips of up to 6 months continuous cover (3 months if you are aged 65 – 69). - Annual Multi-trip cover
For those taking two or more trips during the year, purchasing an annual policy allows you to travel as many times as you wish throughout a 12 month period. There is a maximum limit of 60 days for each trip.
