This was the first time I have had to make a claim and once I’d got the paperwork together it was settled very quickly. We had to change travel plans at very short notice due to delays and it is reassuring to know that the extra expense is covered without a lot more hassle.

Hayman’s provided me with a good level of insurance cover for a non-standard itinerary (a 72-day ski trip), at a competitive price. Unfortunately I had to make a claim for one small incident. Hayman’s handled my claim very efficiently and promptly – very impressed all round with the product, the price and the service. Will definitely use them again and recommend them.
Great hassle-free service
For the first time in my life, I had to make a travel insurance claim. I spoke to Rory at PJ Hayman, and he guided me through the process. The form to complete was clear. It was of course, helpful that I had all the necessary supporting evidence (which, of course, is necessary). I posted the claim 5 days ago, and today Rory emailed me with the settlement. The settlement was in line with what I thought it would be, and in line with my supporting evidence. No quibbles. I am delighted the claim has been processed so quickly and without any hassles. My thanks to Rory and PJ Hayman. When medical expenses had to be paid after my accident, everything just happened in the background without me being troubled. In conclusion, it was also good that I had a quality insurance policy with BMC Insurance. It is good that their claims are processed through PJ Hayman.

I had an existing yearly policy, including complex medical conditions, with Free Spirit through P. J. Hayman when I rang to disclose a further medical condition. This had the effect of cancelling my yearly policy and meant I could only have a single-trip policy. The lady I spoke to went above and beyond to help me get covered. I had a trip booked for my 60th birthday, so I was very keen not to cancel it. She took her time and roped in her colleague to run through applying for different policies with what they held about my existing conditions and my new condition and then she rang me back with the results, so I wasn’t holding on the phone. Although the single policy cost me £100 more than my annual policy, I was so grateful to her and her colleague for taking the time to help me get covered and away on my birthday trip. She also passed my details to her manager for them to arrange a refund of the remaining amount of the annual policy I could no longer use. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this company and the lady I spoke with is a shining example of how customer service should be.
I have used Free Spirit since 2019 and have had excellent service. Fortunately, I have not had to claim but the medical screening and buying has been easy to do.
