Top 5 Medical Conditions Covered for Emergency Medical Costs In 2025, 95% of medical condition quotes completed with P J Hayman were accepted, and cover was offered. Getting travel insurance when you have pre-existing medical conditions can be challenging. That’s...
You’ve Spoken, We’ve Listened
At P J Hayman, we’re always looking for ways to improve our service. With this in mind, we’ve found a way to make our service as tailored to our clients as possible. Any feedback we’ve received, we’ve taken on board, and where possible, we’ve made changes. Let’s take a look at some of the top examples where you’ve spoken, and we’ve listened…
We Heard Your Policy Process Comments
We had some feedback in regard to renewing and taking out new policies. It can be quite frustrating having to go through a lengthy medical screening process. So to solve this problem, when we recently relaunched our Travel Plus travel insurance, we took out the lengthy medical screening.
The new and improved process has a list of accepted conditions, so be sure to have a look at those when you get a quote. If you’re condition is on the list, you’re covered! Don’t worry if you do have a condition that is not on the list, as we still have our Free Spirit policy. The Free Spirit policy can cover most pre-existing medical conditions. So we can help you to travel, with confidence, whichever policy you need.
We Listened to Your Top Up Queries
There were a lot of questions around our Top Up My Cover policy, which ‘tops up’ the cancellation and curtailment cover of a main travel insurance policy. Customers wanted to know whether it was only valid if you had a P J Hayman travel policy to ‘top up’. We wanted to make it clear that our Top Up My Cover policy can be ‘bolted on’ to any existing travel insurance to cover a single trip with specified UK departure and return dates. Whether it’s with your bank, or anyone else – as long as you have a policy that covers you for the dates of your trip, and the region you’re travelling to, we can top up your cancellation/curtailment cover. So you can plan all of the luxury holidays you like, without worry.
To make this clearer, we’ve tweaked the wording on our website and across our policies. This way you can see from the get-go that we can help you. This policy is one of a kind, and has even been highlighted in The Times newspaper, so be sure to check it out.
P J Hayman Has a New Look
After speaking to both our staff and clients, it became clear that our former website design may have given people the impression that we sold holidays rather than travel insurance. To make our message clear, we recently revamped our website so that you can see straight away what we offer. This has also helped to improve page loading times – another feedback point we received.
We made several changes to help make the website journey a smoother experience for all. Another thing we were made aware of is that not many people had heard of the company behind Free Spirit travel insurance. Free Spirit is frequently used as our trading name, and we wanted people to know that P J Hayman are the insurance specialists behind the products.
Meet Free Spirit’s New Helper
Head over to our Free Spirit website to meet Selma, our new virtual assistant. Selma was installed to help with those queries that need answering quickly, without the need to phone. This should allow people to complete a full online quote without any fuss. Any queries you have can be answered quickly by our helpful AI agent. AI today can be quite daunting as it’s a new technology that’s often unfamiliar to clients, but we are confident you will find Selma as helpful as we do.
This new tool will be able to answer queries in regard to your documents, getting a quote and much more. Have you seen her on the Free Spirit site yet? Why not head there now and see for yourself how helpful AI can be!
Keep Giving us Feedback
If you have any other feedback for us, please email us at marketingsuggestions@pjhayman.com. Even if you think we’ve already been made aware of something, it’s always helpful to double-check.
