Professional Sports & Activities: All of the activities are covered on a non-professional and non-competitive basis unless otherwise stated and shown on your schedule of insurance. We consider ‘professional’ to be activities or sports where you are either paid for participating in, receive any element of sponsorship, fees, or prize money in excess of £500.​

For larger groups travelling together and insured under the same policy, attractive discounts are available:-

21-50 persons = 10% discount
51-100 persons = 15% discount
101-150 persons = 20% discount
151+ persons – discounts agreed upon initial enquiry

KEY FEATURES

TAILOR MADE COVER

Adventures is available in three parts:

Part A: includes essential cover for medical and emergency expenses (including COVID), specialist activity equipment and up to £50,000 search & rescue costs following an accident, as well as personal accident, personal liability, curtailment (following an accident only whilst you are participating in an insured activity) and legal expenses.

Part B: provides additional cover to bring the policy into line with a ‘standard’ travel policy and includes:- cancellation (including COVID*), personal possessions, personal money, and travel delay.

*Cancellation, Loss of Deposit & Curtailment: We will not cover any claims caused by or resulting from fear or threat of Covid-19, or any costs incurred in respect of self-isolation or quarantine whether legally mandated or otherwise.

Please note: There shall be no cover if you have refused or not taken up an offer of vaccination for Covid-19 (this means all doses if available to you and the vaccine requires two or more doses) for any reason other than genuine medical grounds (You must prove to us the genuine medical grounds).

Part C: Independent Traveller provides extended cover for cancellation, curtailment, travel delay and travel disruption with the addition of accommodation expenses if your trip is disrupted by an event such as a natural disaster e.g. volcanic eruption or if The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advises against travel (excluding COVID).

Part A may be taken in isolation.
Part B can only be taken with Part A.
Part C can only be taken with Part A and Part B.

24-hour medical emergency assistance
Experienced multi-lingual co-ordinators and medical specialists are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They will guarantee medical costs where required, liaise with the treating doctor and arrange repatriation if medically necessary.

Pre-existing Medical Conditions
For travellers with an existing medical condition, a medical screening service is available to confirm acceptability of cover – see the Insurance Policy for further details.

Single Trip cover (maximum duration & age restrictions)                                                                                                                                                                                                                       There is a limit of 6 months (limited to 3 months for ages 65-69 and 31 days for ages 70-75).

Annual Multi-trip cover (maximum duration & age restrictions)
For those taking two or more trips during the year, purchasing an annual policy allows you to travel as many times as you wish throughout a 12-month period. There is a maximum annual multi-trip limit of 60 days for each trip (limited to 31 days for ages 70-75 years).

ELIGIBILITY

Adventures is available to people aged up to 75 years or under at the time of taking out this insurance who are registered with a medical practitioner and permanently resident in the United Kingdom including Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
