Provides cover if an insured person has to cancel their trip due to testing positive for Coronavirus within fourteen (14) days of departure. Also, if this occurs abroad, cover is included for necessary emergency medical and repatriation expenses. Note – There is no cover if the insured travels against government or other regulatory authority (i.e. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advice.
Extended Journey Disruption*
Provides cover if you have to cancel (up to £3,000) or incur additional expenses (up to £1,000) as a result of disruption caused by a natural disaster landslide or an outbreak of food poisoning. Cover applies if you book individual elements of your trip separately.
End Supplier Failure Insurance*
Cover up to £2,500 for irrecoverable costs if an independent travel or accommodation provider becomes insolvent.

Cover is provided for theft; accidental damage; loss; breakdown and unauthorised call/data use for your gadgets including: handheld consumer electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, iPads, kindles, satnavs, cameras, lenses, camcorders, smart watches, smart glasses, head mounted displays, hand held games consoles, portable DVD players, headphones, wireless speakers, MP3 players iPods and laptop computer (laptops are not covered for accidental loss), and there is no cover provided under this section for drones), purchased as new in the UK or, in the case of refurbished items, not purchased directly from the manufacturer or network provider in the UK. Any device that was purchased as second hand or used, that is not a refurbished device that was sold with a minimum 12 month warranty; that is no more than 48 months old at the start date of your trip.
After care cover at home following hospitalisation abroad
Includes costs for home help, physiotherapy, cosmetic surgery and dental costs after you have returned home.
Provides up to £750 towards the cost of a convalescence trip in the United Kingdom to help you recuperate if you have been hospitalised abroad for more than 5 days.
Over 100 activities are included as standard; additional activity packs are also available for an additional premium. Please note that selecting each additional activity pack will have an impact on the excess, and on other areas of cover. For full details, see the Free Spirit website.
Travellers of any age with an existing medical condition or disability.
Free Spirit is available to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Isle of Man), the Channel Islands or for British Forces Posted Overseas (BFPO) who are registered with a medical practitioner in their home country. You must not have started your trip prior to commencement of your policy and the trip must start and end in the UK, Channel Islands, or BFPO. You must have been in the United Kingdom for a minimum of 6 months in the year before buying this policy.
